Client Spotlight: Sahil Shah

Sahil has been working with the studio for a while now – he’s always eager to learn and try any new style. We’ve recently been rocking out and working on hardcore rock songs for a band he’s been rehearsing with. He’s gained such a wonderful knowledge of his voice just through his weekly dedication.

Tell me about yourself.

Beginner vocalist. Played instruments growing up but always wanted to learn how to sing

What do you love about your voice?

The more and more I work with Julia I notice how much I love the richness and timbre of my actual voice rather than all the singers I’ve been trying to impersonate all these years.

How has Starling Voice Studio helped you?

The studio has truly helped me to unlock my actual voice and given me a lot of confidence in my singing abilities. Even my regular speaking voice has improved so much as I learn how to sing in my true voice. This has brought me so much closer to who I actually am which, in turn, has benefited and continues to help me grow in numerous ways. Julia has taught me how to use my voice in ways I never thought possible! Thanks to her tutelage I went from not being about to sing anything to fulfilling my dream of fronting a rock band in Philly! We practice once a week and Julia helps me get everything together each week and for each show. Truly a dream come true!!!

What’s your vocal goal this year?

To sing clearly and consistently in my vocal range, maybe belt a little lol

What advice would you give to someone who is starting voice lessons for the first time?

Do not hesitate or worry about being embarrassed if you’re shy about singing, Julia creates a very welcoming and friendly environment to progress at your own pace and it’s a ton of fun!
