If you had to any advice to give about performing on the road – what would it be?
Oof- life on the road ain’t easy. Getting to travel is exhilarating and exciting, but it’s still a job. After awhile it can be tough when you miss your home and your community. For that reason, I think the best advice I could give is to prioritize self-care. Taking care of your emotional, mental, spiritual, and physical health becomes essential when the circumstances you’re in will do their best to test your patience and your stamina on a weekly basis. Coming to know what you need to stay happy and “sane” while on the road is a must, and you have to be willing to voice those concerns if need be. In the end we’re all here to contribute to something bigger than us, and if one person isn’t well, the entire show will suffer in some way. It’s important to remember that you’re a very important instrument and no one will be able to take care of you as well as you can!
